He spent the next thirteen years preparing. On October 7th 2023, he launched the most significant military operation against the occupation since 1948 — and changed the course of history with it. A year later, in October 2024, he was found in Rafah — not hiding, not surrendering. On foot, alone, in a collapsed building, still advancing. He was killed the way he lived: facing forward. This piece is carved from the last chapter of that life. The keffiyeh on his head is not a costume — it is a flag he never put down.

The keffiyeh border pattern around the frame is carved in the same session — the machine treats the portrait and the border as a single file. The contrast you see is purely depth — shadow sitting inside the grooves.
